Why he built RoofSmart

Jim spent years in the gutter-guard world and kept finding the same thing under the shingles: bad attic ventilation, sloppy flashing, and installs that were never going to survive Seattle weather. In 2011 he founded RoofSmart with John Campopiano and Nestor Martinez to treat roofing like a system — not a surface.
