Roof maintenance is a must in the rainy Seattle weather, but that doesn't mean you're excited to do it. With so many trees around, the leaves and pine needles can pile up quickly.
If you're sick of constantly cleaning off your roof or have noticed that your roof is in need of repairs, we can help. We'll make sure your roof looks pristine and check for any other issues while we're up there.

Between the humidity and the rain, the Seattle area has no shortage of moisture. Unfortunately, moisture is terrible for asphalt shingles.
Leaves, pine needles, and other debris sits on the roof, gets wet, and traps moisture on your roof. This causes the shingles to deteriorate faster. It can also contribute to moss and algae growth, which can also damage your roof.
RoofSmart has an entire service team dedicated to helping you with roof maintenance. It's a division of RoofSmart called MossEaters.
MossEaters offers the following services:
We can take the burden of cleaning off your hands, help you with moss or algae that won't seem to go away, and even take a look at your roof to make sure there isn't any additional work you should be concerned about.

Our dedicated repair and maintenance team will take photos so you have a clear report on what was needed and what was done.
As self-proclaimed roof nerds, we always obsess over every detail of the roofing process to make sure that your roof is perfect.
For repair and maintenance calls, here's how we calculate our pricing:
1.) $475 is the dispatch fee, and includes the first hour.
2.) Every hour after the first one is $125 per worker.
3.) Cost for materials
The total cost depends on how much work your maintenance job will be. Routine maintenance is often finished within the first hour, but bigger projects can potentially take a few hours or even an entire day.
Rates are the same for residential or commercial.

Often, you can easily and safely clean off your roof on your own. However, if your roof is very steep, you might need to call in an expert who has the right tools to reach the roof safely.
We can also help you remove and treat moss or algae, which can be difficult to get rid of on your own.
Yes! Letting damp debris sit on your asphalt shingle roof is really bad for it. Your roof will deteriorate faster and likely get damaged. Both of these scenarios will require that you spend thousands to fix your roof.
We recommend cleaning your Seattle area roof off twice a year. However, you should check it after windy or stormy days as well to make sure that extra debris doesn't pile up.
